Our Mission

Flutes Unlimited is committed to providing quality performance opportunities and excellent music education in a fun-filled atmosphere. We strive to foster diversity, provide community service and develop leadership with our members. Moreover, Flutes Unlimited strives to provide its members with instruction on various auxiliary flutes, including piccolo, soprano, alto, and bass flutes.

Flutes Unlimited has run up to four separate ensembles, in order to assist the flutist of every level of playing capability. Flutes Unlimited current runs two ensembles, Tout Suite and Symphonic, that provides performance opportunities to flutists from 5th grade up to adults. The following are short descriptions of each of the flute choirs Flutes Unlimited has run during its history:

The Tout Suite Flute Choir, which teaches fundamental ensemble and individual skills to elementary flutists. They also receive quality one-on-one and small group instruction from affirming teachers who make learning enjoyable.

The Symphonic Flute Choir, which engages intermediate-level high-school flutists with music that both challenges and enriches them. Emphasis is placed on developing ensemble skills such as balance, blend, tone quality, and intonation; as well as individual skills such as scale work, theory, articulations, and technical fluency.

The Divisi Ensemble is our newest choir and provides intermediate-level adult flutists greater challenges and the opportunity to serve as role models to high school students.

The Flutes, LTD. Choir, which prepares advanced flutists for exciting performance opportunities, utilizing both chamber and large group settings. Emphasis is placed on fine tuning ensemble skills, individual skills, and exposure to all types of music.
